The biggest highlight of the announcement is Rajkummar Rao’s striking transformation into Ganguly. The first-look poster recreates one of the most iconic moments in Indian cricket history Sourav Ganguly’s unforgettable shirtless celebration from the Lord’s balcony after India’s dramatic two-wicket victory over England in the NatWest Series final on July 13, 2002.

The original celebration, where Ganguly waved his jersey from the Lord’s Cricket Ground pavilion, became a defining image of Indian cricket and symbolized the team’s fearless new attitude. Rajkummar Rao’s recreation of that historic moment has impressed fans, with many praising the actor’s look and attention to detail.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Dada promises to chronicle the inspiring journey of one of India’s most successful cricket captains. The film is produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films, presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series, and DBL Entertainment.

The makers have also confirmed that Dada will hit theatres worldwide on May 14, 2027, and will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu.

US Attacks Iran Again: Fresh Middle East Conflict Raises Oil Price Fears for India

The fragile peace between the United States and Iran appears to have been short-lived, as fresh military action in the Middle East has once again raised concerns over global stability.
