The Telugu film industry has witnessed a star-studded collaboration in “Extra Ordinary Man,” featuring a stellar cast including Nithiin, sree Leela, Sampath Raj, Rajashekar, Ravu Ramesh, Hariteja, Sudheer Nayar, Harshavardhan, Hyper Aadi, Pavitra Lokesh, Brahmanandam, Rohini, Annapurna, and others. With Vakkantham Vamsi as the writer and Sudhakar Reddy as the producer, the film promises to be a cinematic extravaganza.

Plot Summary:

The story revolves around Abhi, played by Nithiin, a budding junior artist who aspires to become a hero. However, his dreams are at odds with his father’s (Ravu Ramesh) disapproval. Amidst these circumstances, he falls in love with Likitha (Sree leela), a diligent writer. The narrative takes a turn when Abhi, in pursuit of his dreams, inadvertently becomes a police officer, Arjun Baladev (Rajashekar), leading to a series of unexpected events.

Does Abhi become the main character? How is he related to the antagonist? How did Abhi become a Police Officer? Forms the crux of the movie.

Telugu Funda Analysis:

Nithin has been much of himself compared to his previous films in the first half but falls flat in the second half. Sree leela is strictly only for the dance moves.

Nithiin’s energetic and charismatic performance in the lead role has received accolades. His on-screen chemistry with Sree Leela has been a highlight of the film. While Sree Leela’s role showcases her talent, Nithiin’s portrayal of Abhi demonstrates versatility and energy in parts.

Ravu Ramesh is apt for the father role and suited the character

Dr.Rajasekhar is okayish and supported the later half of the film.

Remaining others are ok in their respective characters.

Technical Aspects:

“Extra Ordinary Man” boasts commendable technical aspects, including cinematography by Arthur A. Wilson and H. Yuvaraj, editing by Praveen Pudi, and a musical score by Harris Jayaraj. The seamless integration of these elements enhances the overall cinematic experience.

Nikhil comes again with Spy, a PAN Indian film. Garry BH, a well-known editor, helmed the film, and Rana appeared in an incidental role. Spy is a film about the mysterious death of liberation warrior Subash Chandra Bose. Khaadir is a fugitive terrorist who represents an enormous danger to Country. RAW Agent Subhash murders Khaadir, but dies under unexplained reasons. RAW quickly discovers that Khaadir is still alive and plots an operation to assassinate him. Jai, Subhash’s brother, serves as one of the operatives. Jai has to assassinate Khaadir, and to discover who assassinated Subhash. 

Nikhil’s performance in Spy is remarkable. Nikhil looks the part of an espionage operative and executes admirably. The young performer is fantastic in all of the action-packed scenes. Abhinav Gomatam lends his backing to the actor. Abhinav receives an extended function, and he plays it brilliantly. His jokes make people chuckle.Rana Daggubati makes an appearance. 

The filmmakers were unable to weave a compelling story around it. For the most part, the story is dull and lacks excitement. Those expecting thrilling occurrences will be dissatisfied by the dull narrative. Sri Charan Pakala’s soundtrack score isn’t very memorable. The song Azaadi looks nice on film. Only a few sequences revolve around Subhash Chandra Bose, and the film may have proved stronger if the creators had concentrated more on the undiscovered aspect of the liberation warrior.

The film is a conventional espionage action thriller . It is saved by Nikhil’s upfront acting and a few nice parts. The primary flaw is the dull narrative, which lacks any high or exhilarating parts. It might have been a lot better if the producers had focused more on the facts about Subhash Chandra Bose.

The Times of India’s Neeshita Nyayapati awarded it 2.5 stars and commented, “Garry’s film has its heart in the right place, but it lacks the spunk to stand out.”

Spy received 2.5 out of 5 stars from India Today’s Latha Srinivasan, who said, “Spy is a thriller that tries to be a desi Jason Bourne but sorely misses.”

In a review for The Hindu, Sangeetha Devi Dundoo stated, “Spy tries to ride on the nationalistic sentiment but ends up as a bore without a solid story in place.”

1920 Horrors of the Heart is an Indian horror film directed by Krishna Bhatt with production by Vikram Bhatt, Dr. Raj Kishor Khaware, Rakesh Juneja, and Shwetambari Bhatt, with a screenplay penned by Mahesh Bhatt. It is the fifth part in the 1920 film series. The primary actors are Avika Gor and Rahul Dev. Backing actors include Barkha Bisht, Randheer Rai, Danish Pandor, Ketaki Kulkarni, Avtar Gill, and Amit Behl.

The film has a few effective terrifying effects. Avika Gor makes an impression in certain sequences with her wonderful acting. Barkha Bisht nailed it as a lady who is concerned with everything that is going on adjacent to her. 

The film is filled with horror dramas which struggle to appeal to a broad audience. There are also certain unpleasant shots that are unpleasant to see. Many scenes appear implausible because the filmmakers took great cinematic liberties. The script is loaded with ridiculous scenarios that are distant from actuality, thus there is little room for intriguing parts. Each section is a little sluggish and prolonged for no apparent explanation. The approach is the same, and it loses the audience’s attention.

Prakash Kutty’s videography is excellent. Puneet Dixit’s music is mediocre. The editing is good. Production and quality are great.The song about Randheer Rai’s persona is likewise bad. The primary flaws of this horror film are the lack of a solid storyline and the tranquil exposition in the second half.Though filmmaker Krishna Bhatt attempted to entice the audience by incorporating some solid scary sequences, she fell short of writing a strong tale and script. 

The Times of India’s Abhishek Srivastava scored the film two out of five stars, writing that It’s amazing that so much has evolved in the last few decades, nevertheless Vikram Bhatt’s way of making scary movies remains stuck in antiquity. He subsequently passed the torch to his child, Krishna Bhatt, but the sense of freshness and real fright remains. The narrative of ‘1920: Horrors of the Heart’ is absurd and lacks to attract audiences. The liberties done and integrated into the plot constitute greater annoyance than amusement. The picture may have passed the test if the authors had made more work into establishing true moments of terror.

Bollywood Hungama rated the film 1.5 stars and stated, “Mahesh Bhatt and Suhrita Das’ screenplay sadly doesn’t do justice to the plot. Shweta Bothra’s dialogues are too filmy. Krishna Bhatt’s direction is not up to the mark. She handles a few scenes with panache. But otherwise, her execution is outdated. It doesn’t seem to be a film of 2023 and seems like this is a film made 2 decades ago”.

As a follow-up to the popular Bichagadu, there are numerous anticipation for this movie. According to the producers, it serves as a distinct sequel.On May 19, 2023, Bichagadu 2 was released. Unlike its predecessor, it earned mixed reviews from critics but was a box office triumph. It is a telugu dubbed version of the film Pichaikaran 2.

Director Sasi deserves credit for creating such a unique plot. Vijay Anthony’s acting is excellent in the film. All of his sequences involving the heroine are interesting and well-crafted.

Satna Titus made an outstanding debut and excels in her supportive role. The intermission block and conclusion have been handled really effectively and have an important discussion.

The numerous feelings that must be evoked by an exceptional topic like this are severely lacking in the depiction. All of these moments, including the cause for Vijay Anthony being requested to transform into a beggar and becoming transformed into one, deserve to be shown realistically.The conversations that are presented are interesting and help strengthen the events. Vijay Anthony’s music is good but his re-recording is incredibly adorable. Prasanna Kumar’s cinematography is remarkable, since each of the sequences featuring Vijay Anthony as the wealthy are well filmed.Regarding the filmmaker, Sasi, while he has selected a fascinating topic for his depiction, the manner in which he has performed important parts with little passion is somewhat underwhelming.

  As a rookie filmmaker, Vijay Antony does a good job carrying out the plot, especially in the opening hour.The acting of Vijay Antony plus the movie’s heartbreaking conclusion are its finest moments. However, the movie is only passable to see due to several dull moments and a subpar soundtrack.

India Today’s Janani K. said that Vijay Antony, has donned the hats of director, actor, writer, and producer with Pichaikkaran 2, failed in his first attempt.The narrative is unbelievable, and the picture is a shambles, she added.

The Indian Express’ Kirubhakar Purushothaman granted it one out of five stars, writing,  he marked saying For some time now, even Ajith and Vijay have been steering clear of these one-man-saves-all films, and there was a respite from the nonsense. With Pichaikkaran 2, the break is gone.

Pichaikkaran 2 doesn’t really beg for our attention and nearly manages to hold us for an average watch, commented Logesh Balachandran of The Times of India.

Takkar is an Indian Tamil romantic action film created, directed, and produced by Karthik G. Krish.Siddharth, Divyansha Kaushik, and Yogi Babu lead in the film, with Abhimanyu Singh, Munishkanth, and RJ Vigneshkanth in supporting parts. This was dubbed in telugu. Takkar premiered on June 9, 2023, to mixed responses from individuals.

Siddharth  appears across the film, and the character offers a genuine portrayal as an individual who is determined to end misery. His sense of humor is superb.Divyansha does well in her job. A few violent sequences and certain comedic bits provide some relief. The picture lacks both a solid romance and exciting scenes. Siddharth and the other performers work hard to bring life to this boring action movie, but they are ultimately unable to save it.

The Times of India’s Logesh Balachandran scored the movie 2.5 on a scale of 5 stars, writing that the style swings from action to romcom and back again each ten minutes. The change of pace doesn’t feel inevitable, as the scenes are somewhat forced.

Janani K from India Today scored Takkar 1.5 out of 5 stars, writing, Takkar is a movie which could have been released in the 2000s. She said that the story is so predictable that one could have predicted each and every twist in the plot before it happened.

Mem Famous, a low-budget movie, attracted recognition owing to its creative marketing strategy.Lahari Films and Chai Bisket Films are supporting the film. This film constitutes a generally enjoyable young adult comedy. There are a number of truly enjoyable sequences in the movie, and Sumanth Prabhas who is also the director of the film and the entire ensemble did an outstanding job. The movie winds up being only an alright viewing since the latter portion manages to maintain the flow. 

The story of the film is about three of its closest companions and is based in the Bandanarsampalli town. They constitute the decision to take a step in their life at some point. They make the conscious choice to launch a tent house company with the goal of being recognised in the community. Nevertheless, Life has different ideas for them. 

Sumanth Prabhas delivered a confident performance throughout the entire film.There are a number of thoughtful passages in the initial part, which moves along at an acceptable speed. The film gets rational after its protagonist and his company resolve to accomplish a good deed with their life, despite a few funny parts that perform nicely. An important sequence that concludes the first half was incredibly beautifully done. Here, the feelings were skillfully captured.

The main problem is the use of synchronisation technology, which the creators might have omitted. This has spoiled the viewing session because the majority of the speech was inaudible. Especially good sequences got reduced in effect by the synchronisation noise. It could be preferable if producers did not favor synchronised sound recording for outside filming.Additionally, the second half’s tempo gets incredibly sluggish and numerous moments are drawn out. 

A handful of Kalyan Nayak’s songs were enjoyable to hear, and his musical style is great. His music for the backdrop is really nice. Shyam Dupati’s cinematography is superb, and his camera does a great job at capturing the rural settings.

Naga Chaitanya has collaborated with Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu on the thriller flick Custody. Because of its strong promotional materials. This is released in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. Krithi Shetty plays the female protagonist in the film.

Naga Chaitanya does a good job at portraying an underdog persona and his performance is genuine. His authentic acting he held the movie together. Chaitanya was also impressive in the action scenes.  Arvind Swami is a terrific match for Raju’s part, and there are some good interactions with him, Chaitanya, and Krithi Shetty. Krithi Shetty is a decent character who does what is asked of her.

The latter part is a major letdown, since the action is dull with no interest. Custody was written by Venkat Prabhu, who is well-known for his superb screenplays that one couldn’t believe. The action sequence had little influence on the picture. The portrayal of Priyamani and Sarath Kumar’s roles is unsatisfactory. The retrospective section is routine and lacking in excitement. A further serious setback is the music.

The picture is slow after the intermission, and the rest of the instances are quite uninteresting. It was additionally anticipated that the second half would include tense events, but there were indeed any. Considering his previous work and the issues Venkat Prabhu chooses, one would anticipate the film to live through them, yet it fails woefully.

SR Kathir’s filming is excellent. The editing is substandard since the picture seems a little long, particularly during the second half. The visual effects are poor. It was odd to witness such poor work from Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. The songs are fairly terrible, and the surrounding soundtrack isn’t much better. 

There’s nothing noteworthy to mention. Naga Chaitanya and Arvind Swami give it their all, but the director and plot fall short. The film was panned for its extended running time and stability, and it was a box office flop.

The Times of India’s Neeshita Nyayapati awarded it three out of five stars. She also said, Custody has the kind of story that’s predictable, and some of the characters could’ve been fully realized to make this experience better than what it is.

The Hindu’s Sangeetha Devi Dundoo said that Custody is not without its pitfalls.It stumbles when it delves into a hackneyed emotional narrative. The romance, as well as some of the hilarity that surrounds it, should have been written better. “However, the film has a lot going for it.”

 “For a story that predominantly unfolds over a span of 48 hours and involves some solid chase sequences, the film wastes quite a lot of time initially in needless subplots,” commented Haricharan Pudipeddi of Hindustan Times. To have the intended impression on the viewer, the film needed to be more relentless and sharp.”
