After a successful theatrical run, Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s blockbuster Peddi is finally gearing up for its digital premiere. Fans who missed the film on the big screen can now watch the sports action entertainer from the comfort of their homes.
Netflix has officially announced that Peddi will begin streaming from July 9 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The Hindi version, however, will have a longer theatrical window and is expected to premiere on the platform in August.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi turned out to be Tollywood’s highest-grossing film of the year, overtaking Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu at the box office. While the film enjoyed a phenomenal run across the Telugu states, its overseas performance remained below expectations. Despite that, the movie amassed over ₹400 crore worldwide, making it one of Ram Charan’s biggest commercial successes.
The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, while Shruti Haasan grabbed attention with a special dance number. The ensemble cast also includes Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Jagapathi Babu, Tarak Ponnappa, and several others in pivotal roles.
Adding to the film’s appeal is its powerful soundtrack composed by AR Rahman, which received a positive response from audiences.
With its OTT release now confirmed, Peddi is expected to reach an even wider audience on Netflix and continue its successful journey beyond theatres.
