He acknowledged the lapse and questioned why deadlines could not be met despite careful planning, recalling how films in earlier days were often completed with release copies ready nearly a month in advance.

To drive home his point, Nagarjuna cited Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey as an ideal example of disciplined filmmaking. He noted that the Hollywood production announced its release date nearly a year in advance and successfully delivered the film on schedule. He urged directors, technicians, music composers, and post-production teams to complete the final release copy at least two weeks before release to ensure a polished product.

The veteran actor also highlighted how last-minute postponements damage a film’s momentum, reduce audience excitement, and create unnecessary complications for other releases. While he acknowledged that some delays are unavoidable, he stressed that many can be prevented through better planning and coordination.
