Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a major step to tackle paper leak cases, revealing that the Centre will establish fast-track courts to ensure speedy trials and strict punishment for those responsible. Stressing that safeguarding the future of students is the government’s highest priority, the Prime Minister said those attempting to destroy the aspirations of young people would face tough legal consequences.
Sharing the announcement on X, PM Modi said that nothing is more important than the welfare and future of the country’s youth. He stated that the government has directed all concerned authorities to take every necessary measure to ensure that paper leak cases are investigated swiftly and offenders are punished without delay. He also reiterated that protecting students’ interests remains a key focus of the Centre.
In a strong warning, the Prime Minister declared that those who play with the future of India’s youth will not be spared, signaling a zero-tolerance approach against examination-related crimes.
The announcement comes at a time when protests over the alleged NEET paper leak continue at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, where students have been demanding accountability and stronger measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
This is not the first time PM Modi has spoken strongly on the issue. During the recent NDA Parliamentary Party meeting, he reportedly described paper leaks as a “ghor paap” (grave sin) and emphasized that strict action must be taken against those involved. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju later conveyed the Prime Minister’s remarks, stating that the NEET paper leak should not become a subject of partisan politics.
According to Rijiju, PM Modi stressed that the NEET controversy is a national issue, not one confined to any single state or the Central government, and called for a united effort to protect the integrity of the country’s examination system and the future of millions of students.
